What that meaning is, is up to you to decide.

My neighbors are a constant source of useful information about things.

---side note:  the key here, people is ID.  Identification.
We already know WHAT we are --- malicious mayhem terrorists who can't be trusted to fly in airplanes.
The key is WHO we are.  Satan or Jesus.  It all stems from this duality.  What we need is Universal Identification.  I don't know --- retina scans, or the like.  Again, it is who we are, not what we are.
